Remember the 20479th Renegade Infantry Legion.

They shall be avenged.

FROM: ADM Nogueira,14976th BB Squadron, 26th Fleet.  CAER CYDONYA.

In system after 666th Aggressor abandoned system. Three TOG Agressors and attendant units jumped in pretty damn close. At great cost to this command I decided to buy the ground fellas as much time as possible. Formed up and hit the 3 BBs in formation. Got reamed. Had to pull out.

Then our boys jumped in, 2 BBs squadrons (including that crazy but lovable 200031st (note :Elite/Stalwart). The Commodore in charge of the 200031st had a crazy plan to sting TOG. We reformed (the 14976th and 831 BBs squadrons) and gave it another go. Our carrier group gave us an edge in fighters at the height of the fighting 200031st came crashing in on port flank and took out the entire 73011 TOG Light CV squadron. Then we beat feet.

Good news: took out a TOG light CV squadron, gropos have some more good news. Bad news: TOG controls orbit around Caer Cydonia and my unit 14976th RBBs has to stand down to repair the CWS Liberator. Also need a new cruiser to replace the one I lost! Not so bad...

No problems arriving in system and landing three legions. We now have seven legions on planet against only three TOGgies, one TOGgie is a Praetorian. But seven to three good enough. With the 18th Fleet in system TOG can't really come in anyway. We can grind the three legions into dust but it may take some time (damn Praetorians are pretty clever).

We were ready to drop and then the 666th Aggressor came to town. The 1983rd BBs (in system) was busy with another TOG Aggressor unit (also in system) and I saw my small unit looking at an Illustris class BB with and additional attendant Harrasser Squadron. So I managed to drop the 133rd Baufrin under their nose and convince the 1983rd to pull back with us. The ground commander reported the fight is now about even as the 666th brought reinforcements for TOG. (three legions and a Baufrin RGT against four TOG legions)

FROM: Brigadier Sarresh, CO 6951st B'ekkal Legion, FORT FORTUITUS

We regret to inform the Field Marshal that the 20479th Renegade Infantry Legion was destroyed by the 82nd Praetorian Guard a few days ago. The Prefect of the 20479th put up a stiff fight but his march to link with us was cut off by the Praetorians. They drove a wedge in between our two units and cut off the Renegades. We were picked up by the in-system long range patrol squadron and have abandoned the planet. The 20479th was destroyed to the last Legionnaire as the Praetorians aren't known for taking Renegade prisoners.

Please specify location for repairs

(GM-Note) The Republic class BB will require a class 6 naval support yard, you can send it to a system you control in one of the two countries that has such a facility but then if TOG attacks that system or finds the shipyard they could conceivably destroy it without much effort. Or you can send it back further into the Dukedom for repairs but it will take longer, first option is will take 1 turns, sending it away is 2 turns.

I'm not a cold offcer by any means, however, how many times have things like this have happened? How many times has our own side done things like this? The Praetorians probably didn't just execute everyone, they just don't except surrender, some of our own Minerva units are known for the same thing. My point, it happened, it will probably happen again. The best way to deal with it is winning, not crying. Although my Marine detachment CO has volunteered to get the standard back...
